The Clarion Choir’s Christmas program includes carol settings from the 7th century through to the modern day. The program follows a liturgical arc, beginning from the solemnity and sense of expectation of Advent, moving through to the bucolic scenes of the Annunciation to the Shepherds and the mystery and joy of the Nativity. In the final sections, the music depicts the ‘star of wonder’ and the story of The Three Kings; the program concludes with a celebration of the arrival of ‘the Savior of the world.’
