After joining the Orchestra of St. Luke’s for the first time this past November, The Clarion Choir has been invited back by Carnegie Hall and the Orchestra of St. Luke’s to perform one of the most magnificent works in the repertory, Mozart’s final masterpiece, the Requiem, K. 626. The Requiem is in many ways Mozart’s most powerfully expressive work, reaching areas of unparalleled dramatic and spiritual depth. Together with a splendid cast of soloists, leading Baroque maestro Christophe Rousset, and the renowned Orchestra of St. Luke’s, The Clarion Choir will perform this monumental work in perhaps the world’s most iconic hall. Complementing the Mozart, in the first part of the concert, will be Schubert’s elegant and charming Mass in G, scored in an understated fashion for strings, three vocal soloists, and choir.
